All students who participated last year may not be eligible for this year’s groups. Students not making a Junior Player Development Program will either be referred to Nancy Watland, program coordinator, for placement in a regular lesson program, or placed on a numerical wait list by Mike Milhouse, junior development coordinator. It is recommended that juniors participate in a regular lesson program (even if accepted into JD) to better enhance their technical and strategic skills.
JUNIOR EXCELLENCE PATHWAY
High School Satellite (JV & Varsity)

Players are 15-18 years of age and they may have begun playing USTA matches or local community matches. These players may want to earn a place on their junior varsity or varsity tennis team. Strategy & tactics will be emphasized. Players will develop power & consistency through the understanding of grips and the use of spin.
High School Prep (Middle school and Fresh/Soph)

Advanced middle school or freshman/sophomore players qualify for this program. Will most likely be trying out for team in Fall or Spring or already have participated on a high school team. Stroke production, match play and patterns of play will be emphasized.
Rapid Ralliers

Ages range from 11-15 yrs. This level will focus on sustaining longer rallies, understanding spin, developing a serve and preparing for match play.
Rookie Ralliers

This group is for our H-F future stars. Our goal is to have these players advance and develop through the entire JD program. Ages 11 & under. Must be able to play on a full court. Watch out for these players!
Discounts are available for members with USTA national, sectional or district points per round yearend rankings. Proof of such MUST be shown at time of registration. Discounts are for full session rates only. Tournament players receive court cards for tournament participation. Must play and complete and provide completed draw sheets.
